ASTM B338/ ASME SB338 Titanium Tube (Ti Tube) has a superior strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance is one of the common titanium products. We generally divide ASTM B338/ ASME SB338 Titanium tubes into two types, one is called the seamless titanium tube, and the other is called the welded titanium tube.
ASTM B338 / ASME SB338 Titanium Tube Grade 7 UNS R52400 Alloy Steel Seamless Tube Titanium grade 7 is a corrosion-resistant alpha titanium alloy with similar mechanical properties to the commercially pure grades. There are 28 grades of titanium and titanium alloys for tubing purposes, among which Titanium Grade 2, Grade 7, and Grade 12 are most often seen in tubing applications.
ASME SB-338 is the standard specification for seamless and welded titanium and titanium alloy tubes or tubing which are intended for surface condensers, evaporators, and heat exchangers. ASME SB-338 has a small palladium addition to improving corrosion resistance, particularly in mineral acids and strong brines.
