Commercially pure grade 1 titanium tubing is one of the softest and most malleable grades, exhibiting the greatest formability. Not only that, it also exhibits good durability, strength and corrosion resistance. Primary titanium tubes are mainly used in the marine and chemical industries where parts are subjected to very harsh environments. The ultimate tensile strength of SB 338 Gr 1 pipe is 35 KSI min (240 MPa min) and the yield strength (0.2% offset) of Cp grade 1 titanium pipe is 25 - 45 KSI (170 - 310 MPa). Ti Grade 1 Seamless Pipe is also known as Timetal 35A, Titan Grade 1 and Allvac 30. Grade 1 titanium tube is an unalloyed, low-strength titanium product with low oxygen content and high formability; this titanium grade is used in airframes, heat exchangers, and desalination plants.
